Signs Your Body Is Asking For Help And What To Do About It

Very important to know early.

Modern times are hard on the body and we put them through a lot including stress, working out, drinking, not getting enough sleep, the list goes on. If you listen and are in tune with your body, you'll start to notice when things are out of whack. Here we will go over some common signs that may appear when you're body is not getting what it needs and some ways that you can help it heal.
Tell Tale Signs
Our bodies are very responsive to our actions and environment. Often when something is off, our bodies will produce something irregular or somehow show us signs that we need to change. Unfortunately, people tend to tune out and ignore the bodily signs. It's best to pay attention, because most issues are easily fixed by changing a bad habit.
Dry Skin
Dry, irritable skin is probably the most commonly seen sign that our body is asking for help. Dry skin can be found anywhere on the body and is particularly common in cold, dry weather. A lack of hydration and proper skin care can also be to blame.
The Remedy
To help get rid of dry skin, first start by drinking lots of water. Adding more butternut squash and olive oil to your diet can also help. For fast acting relief, using a moisturizing lotion or oil will do the trick, but maybe not long term.
Dandruff on the scalp is something a lot of people suffer from on even a daily basis. While some people can have a milder case than others, it still can be an embarrassing symptom that we can easily take care of.
The Remedy
While there are loads of dandruff shampoo out there that while help with symptoms, they may not get to the actual cause of the white flakes. Dandruff is caused by a fungal overgrowth and can be helped by using tea tree oil or apple cider vinegar.
Here you can see a red, inflamed area on the inside of this person's mouth. This is an example of psoriasis, although it can show up all over the body and in large or small patches. While not painful, it can be annoying, itchy, and embarrassing.
Vitamin C, Please
Psoriasis can be an indicator of a Vitamin C deficiency. Consuming more of it through foods or supplements can help to clear up the patchy skin. Kale, grapefruit, and red peppers have also been known to help with the symptoms.
Broken Nail
Brittle, easily broken nails and brittle hair are more signs that the body is in need of key nutrients. While these symptoms can also be caused by over treating or processing with nail polish and hair dyes, investigating further into the cause is always a good idea.
More Avocados
Luckily, the remedies for brittle nails and hair are healthy for you and also taste delicious. Consuming more Vitamin B and Calcium by eating more almonds, avocados, and oranges in your diet can help to strengthen the nails and hair.
Bad Taste
Do you ever experience a weird, somewhat metallic taste in your mouth out of nowhere? One that might remind you of the taste of blood? Surprisingly, this is another common side effect and sign that your body needs some TLC.
Oral Hygiene
Poor oral hygiene and lack of Vitamin C are likely the culprits for the bad taste in your mouth. Brushing and flossing your teeth regularly will help solve this, along with a list of other health benefits. Consuming more kale and red peppers can also help.
Not being able to sleep is an symptom we often attribute to having too much stress with a job, family life, or financial troubles. Although those stressors probably aren't helping your cause, adding more magnesium, like leafy greens, to your diet may be able to help.
Food Cravings
Food cravings are another common sign that our body needs nutrients. Although the foods we think would satisfy the cravings aren't what our bodies are really calling for. Next time you have a food craving, do some research to find out what your body actually needs.
Salty Flavors
Are you craving something salty? Instead of reaching for a bag of pretzels, maybe try snacking on some celery. Surprising, right? Salty cravings can mean your suffering from a lack of chloride and consuming celery may be just what you need.
Sweet Tooth
When you have a hankering for something sweet, the immediate response is to go for a candy bar or dessert. While they may satisfy the craving right away, you'll probably be left feeling a bit unsatisfied. Next time, consider getting your sugar from naturally sweetened raw fruits.
